North American Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Automotive Accounting Clerk to join our team in San Francisco, CA. This full-time position offers competitive pay ranging from $25 to $30 per hour and an opportunity to grow your career in the automotive industry.

Job Details

• Salary: $25 to $30 per hour
• Job Type: Full Time
• Location: San Francisco, CA

Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately enter and review invoices, vouchers, and payment requests
• Resolve account discrepancies and related issues
• Balance statements and finalize financial data
• Process accounts payable invoices and payment requests, and issue reimbursement checks
• Match checks to invoices and payment requests after check runs
• Reconcile batches and investigate payables issues with vendors
• Prepare accounts for payments and verify system data
• Maintain accurate filing systems for financial records
• Serve as cashier and back-up receptionist when needed
• Break down and cost deals, including billing for deals, swaps, and wholesales
• Handle daily deposits
• Post accounts payable and receivable transactions

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in an automotive dealership accounting role is required
• Ability to accurately balance and manage large volumes of accounts
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Adaptable and quick learner able to perform in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
• Professional appearance and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Authorization to work in the United States required
• Must pass pre-employment screening including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR), and possess a valid driver’s license
