Position Overview

The Agricultural Accounting Manager will lead the finance department by managing accounting, budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role ensures financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and supports strategic decision-making for the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all financial activities, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, treasury, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards
• Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient operational funding
• Develop and implement financial policies and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Provide detailed financial reports to assist executive leadership in decision-making
• Collaborate with departments to analyze financial performance and support budgeting processes
• Lead annual financial audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers
• Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect company assets

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with inventory management systems
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Familiarity with Metrc Cannabis Compliance Tracking System is a plus
• Experience using business applications including payroll and scheduling software
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers, vendors, and staff
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and dependable work ethic
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
